Peoria County Reliability

Project

Ameren Illinois is proposing the Peoria County Reliability Transmission Project to improve energy reliability for local customers in the Peoria County area. This Project includes the construction of a new 138 kV transmission line to connect the existing Alta substation in Peoria County, Illinois, to the existing Pioneer substation in the City of Peoria. The proposed project includes the upgrades of the existing substations. This project will strengthen our system by creating additional pathways to support energy needs for today and tomorrow.

Our goal is to have this new line in service and providing benefits to the local community by December 2025.
